Aircall Alternatives With AI Voice Agents

An Aircall alternative is either another cloud phone system for sales and support teams, such as CloudTalk, Dialpad, RingCentral RingEX, JustCall or Quo, or an AI voice agent platform that answers and places calls on its own and hands the conversations that need a person to your team.
Those are two different decisions. Switching phone systems changes where your reps make and take calls, what you pay per license and which CRM connectors you get. Adding an AI voice agent changes who picks up the calls that do not need a rep, and it can leave the phone system where it is.
Retell AI publishes this guide and is one of the options compared. Retell is an AI voice agent platform, not a cloud phone system, and it has no native Aircall integration. Every vendor price and feature here comes from that vendor's own website, read on November 6, 2026, and is linked where it is cited.
Are you replacing the phone system or the AI that answers it?
Name the layer first, because the shortlist depends on it.
- The phone system layer. Numbers, licenses, IVR, call routing, queues, recording, a power dialer and the CRM sync your reps rely on. Aircall and every alternative below sell this layer, priced per license or per user.
- The AI voice layer. The agent that answers a call, understands what the caller wants, completes the task or books the meeting, and hands off to a rep when it should. Aircall sells its own AI Voice Agents, and so do most of the phone systems below. A voice agent platform such as Retell runs this layer on its own numbers and transfers calls to a phone number your team answers.
If reps are happy with Aircall and the problem is missed calls, after-hours coverage or repetitive questions, the decision is about the AI layer. If the problem is license price, a missing feature or contract shape, it is about the phone system.

What does Aircall do well?
Aircall is a full cloud phone system for sales and support teams, and it is fair to say what it offers before comparing alternatives.
- Published pricing. Aircall's pricing page lists Essentials at $30 and Professional at $50 per license per month, billed annually, with a minimum of 3 licenses. Enterprise is custom-priced for teams of 25 or more licenses. Aircall says annual plans are 25% cheaper than monthly.
- AI Voice Agents in every plan. Each plan includes 50 AI Voice Agent minutes per month. Extra minutes cost $0.29 per minute pay as you go, or come in bundles of 1,000 minutes for $250, 3,500 for $805 and 10,000 for $1,900 per month, billed monthly with an annual commitment. Aircall also sells AI Voice Agents on their own, with or without its phone system, at a $99 per month minimum. The agents work in 38 languages and support trigger-based outbound calling with voicemail detection.
- Sales tooling on Professional. Professional adds a Power Dialer that imports up to 1,000 numbers and dials them in sequence, outbound call campaigns with automated retries, smart routing and queue callback.
- Integrations and compliance. Aircall lists 250+ integrations. Enterprise lists HIPAA, GDPR and SOC 2 compliance, plus SSO and SCIM.
If those fit, staying on Aircall is a reasonable plan. The alternatives make sense when license price, the minimum seat count, AI minute pricing or a specific feature points elsewhere.
How we picked and compared the alternatives
We included cloud phone systems that sell to sales and support teams in the US and publish plan prices on their own sites, plus one AI voice layer (Retell, the publisher of this guide). Three rules applied:
- Vendor pages only. No review sites, affiliate lists or AI answers. A second reviewer re-fetched every vendor page on the same day and re-checked each fact; anything that could not be confirmed was cut.
- No ranking. Platforms are listed in no particular order, because we did not score them. Choose by fit, using the checklist near the end.
- Dated prices. Prices are as published on November 6, 2026. Billing periods, seat minimums and AI pricing units differ by vendor, so the table states each one. Check the linked page before you budget.

The Aircall alternatives, one by one
CloudTalk
CloudTalk lists Starter at $25, Essential at $29 and Expert at $49 per user per month billed annually, or $34, $39 and $69 billed monthly. Starter and Essential need one license; Expert needs three. Customers billed in the US (and in Canada from December 2, 2026) also pay an 11% Compliance and Administrative Cost Recovery Fee on the software subscription. CloudTalk offers local numbers in 160+ countries. Its Power Dialer is a $15 per user add-on (included in Expert), its Parallel Dialer a $39 add-on that dials up to 10 numbers at once, and its AI Voice Agents start at $99 a month for 200 minutes.
Fit: teams that call internationally or plan to add power or parallel dialing later. For dialer-heavy teams, our best outbound dialers roundup goes deeper.
Dialpad
Dialpad splits its products by team. Dialpad Connect, the business phone system, lists Standard at $15 and Pro at $25 per user per month, with Enterprise by quote. Dialpad Sell, for sales teams, lists Essentials at $39, Advanced at $59 and Premium at $79; Advanced adds Reach Booster, which is local presence dialing plus voicemail drop. Advanced plans are available month-to-month or annual, and Premium plans are annual only. Dialpad prices its AI agents per conversation, on a custom quote: a conversation is billable only when the AI retrieves information or takes an action.
Fit: companies that want a low-cost phone system for most staff and a separate sales or support product for the teams that need it.
RingCentral RingEX
RingCentral lists RingEX Core at $20, Advanced at $25 and Ultra at $35 per user per month paid annually, or $30, $35 and $45 paid monthly, as shown for 1 to 5 users. Its AI Receptionist (AIR) is an add-on to those plans that starts at $39, and RingCentral describes it as answering and routing calls on any phone system. RingCentral also sells a separate AI contact center, RingCX, starting at $65 per user.
Fit: companies that want a per-user phone system with an AI Receptionist add-on, and a contact center product from the same vendor if they need one later.
JustCall
JustCall lists Team at $29, Pro at $49 and Pro Plus at $89 per user per month billed annually, each with a 2-license minimum. Business is custom-priced with a 10-license minimum and lists HIPAA and GDPR compliance. Pro includes a power dialer, and the quote-only SalesPro plan adds a predictive dialer for up to 10 lines. JustCall's AI Voice Agent is priced per minute with volume discounts down to $0.15 per minute, includes the first 100 minutes free, speaks 14 languages, and lists an outbound agent among its use cases.
Fit: small sales and support teams that want a 2-seat minimum and a per-minute AI agent.
Quo (formerly OpenPhone)
Quo lists Starter at $19, Business at $33 and Scale at $47 per user per month billed monthly, with lower prices on yearly billing (Starter is $15). Business adds HubSpot and Salesforce integrations, phone menus and call transfers. Quo's AI agent, Sona, is billed in credits: every plan includes 1,000 credits, which is 10 calls, paid tiers start at $25 a month for 4,000 credits, and overage runs from $1.00 down to $0.45 per call depending on the tier.
Fit: small teams that want the lowest per-user entry price and handle a modest number of AI-answered calls.
Should you replace Aircall or add an AI voice layer?
Replace the phone system if the problem is the phone system: license cost, the 3-license minimum, a feature your reps need, or a consolidation decision. Add or change the AI voice layer if the problem is calls that people should not be handling, such as after-hours calls, overflow, FAQs, appointment booking or lead qualification.
If you only need a few hundred AI minutes a month, the AI Voice Agents already in your Aircall plan may be enough. A separate voice agent platform earns its place when you want more control over how the agent is built and checked before launch, per-minute pricing without bundles, or an agent that stays the same if you change phone systems later.

How to run Retell next to Aircall
Retell does not publish an Aircall integration, so the setup is ordinary telephony rather than a connector:
- Buy a Retell-managed US or Canada number in the Retell dashboard, which needs no telephony provider account, or import a number you already own.
- Build the agent and bind it to that number for inbound calls, outbound calls or both.
- Add a Transfer Call tool whose destination is the Aircall number or ring group your reps answer. Warm transfer lets the agent brief the rep before the caller joins.
- Set a fallback number on the Retell number. If you need to pause the agent, Backup mode sends new inbound calls straight to that staffed line.
- Decide which calls reach the agent: publish the Retell number for after-hours or a specific line, or check Aircall's routing options for forwarding calls to an external number.
Retell's custom telephony docs cover SIP trunking for providers that support it, but they do not include an Aircall guide, so confirm any SIP setup with Aircall first. Retell's pay-as-you-go plan includes 20 concurrent calls and $10 in free credits, and Retell is SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certified and HIPAA compliant, with a BAA available for self-signing, per its compliance docs. Which option fits your team?
- Stay on Aircall and use its AI Voice Agents if your reps like Aircall and you need a modest number of AI minutes each month.
- Stay on Aircall and add Retell if you want per-minute AI pricing, deeper control of the agent, or an agent that will survive a future phone system change.
- Move to CloudTalk if you call internationally or want parallel dialing as an add-on.
- Move to Dialpad if you want a low-cost phone system for most staff and separate sales or support products where needed.
- Move to RingCentral RingEX if you want an AI Receptionist add-on and a contact center product from the same vendor.
- Move to JustCall if you want a 2-license minimum and per-minute AI agent pricing.
- Move to Quo if you are a small team that wants the lowest per-user entry price.
Before you sign, ask four questions: what a license costs once seat minimums and fees are added, how AI minutes or conversations are billed past the included amount, how the AI agent hands a caller to a rep with context, and whether you can keep your numbers if you switch. For the contact center side of the market, see our Talkdesk alternatives and cloud contact center software guides.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Aircall alternative?
It depends on which layer you want to change. For the phone system, CloudTalk, Dialpad, RingCentral RingEX, JustCall and Quo all publish plan prices and sell to sales and support teams. For AI on the phones, a voice agent platform such as Retell can answer and place calls on its own numbers and transfer callers to your Aircall team.
How much does Aircall cost compared with its alternatives?
As of November 2026, Aircall lists $30 and $50 per license per month billed annually, with a 3-license minimum. CloudTalk lists $25 to $49 per user per month billed annually, RingCentral RingEX $20 to $35, JustCall $29 to $89 with a 2-license minimum, Dialpad Connect $15 and $25, and Quo $19 to $47 billed monthly.
Does Aircall have AI voice agents?
Yes. Every Aircall plan includes 50 AI Voice Agent minutes per month. Extra minutes cost $0.29 per minute pay as you go or come in monthly bundles, and Aircall also sells AI Voice Agents on their own from $99 per month.
Can I keep Aircall and use Retell?
Yes, through ordinary telephony. Retell has no native Aircall integration, so the Retell agent answers on a Retell-managed or imported number and transfers callers who need a person to the Aircall number your team answers. Once a call is transferred, Retell's AI voice agent fee stops and only the telephony fee continues.
Which Aircall alternatives price AI by usage?
Most of them. Aircall bills extra AI minutes at $0.29 per minute, JustCall prices its AI agent per minute with discounts down to $0.15, Quo bills per call in credits, Dialpad bills per conversation, and CloudTalk sells minute bundles from $99 a month. Retell's pricing page lists pay-as-you-go pricing from $0.07 per minute.
Put an AI voice agent next to the phone system you already run
Most sales and support teams do not need to replace their phone system to get AI voice agents into production. They need an agent that answers the calls reps should not be handling and hands the rest to the team with context. Retell is an AI voice agent platform that runs on its own numbers and transfers to the phone number your team answers, so it works next to Aircall today and stays in place if you change phone systems later.
